Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Total Quality Management and Quality Management System+
( Health Care Reform)


The program is designed to qualify participants to be successful quality managers and provide them with the necessary skills to lead their companies when establishing quality, Six Sigma or environmental management systems that satisfy the requirements of international standards such as ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. The diploma encompasses six courses in three modules.


• Individuals requiring a working knowledge and understanding of total quality management (TQM)

• New and experienced candidates in quality who want to use the TQM framework and proven approaches and tools to be more effective on the job

• Quality professionals and management representatives


• Facilitate and lead team efforts to establish and monitor customer and supplier relations, as well as support strategic planning and deployment initiatives

• Develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement


• The program consists of 184 hours of instruction. Classes are conducted once a week for four hours per day.


• A Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Total Quality Management will be granted to participants who successfully earn a minimum grade of 70 percent and attend a minimum of 80 percent of each course.

Course 1: Standards for Quality and Environmental Management Systems

This is an integrated course that aims to provide participants with enough knowledge and expertise to articulate the key elements and start to implement a quality management system, an environmental management system, the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria and internal auditing methodology.

• Quality Management System (QMS)

• Environmental management system

Course 2: Planning for Top Quality

Learn to comprehend the structured process for developing products (both goods and services) to ensure that customer needs are being met by the final result.

• Establish the project

• Identify the customer and customer needs

• Develop the product

• Develop the process and process controls

Course 3: Statistical Quality Control

The statistical quality control course is an integrated course that aims to provide participants with enough knowledge and expertise to master the key elements and tools used in quality improvement and decision making in their organizations.

• Fundamentals of statistics

• Fundamentals of probability

• Confidence interval

• Test of hypotheses

• Control charts for variables

• Control charts for attributes

• Acceptance sampling plans

• Standards mail

Course 4: Basic Six Sigma Breakthrough Improvement Process

This course aims to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. It

prepares participants with the required skills set to carry out Six Sigma projects in their respective organizations and have the ability to quantify the financial targets (such as cost reduction and profit increase), as well as help senior management to be customer-centric.

Course 5: Project Management

The course covers a wide spectrum of areas and aspects related to project management including practical applications using Microsoft Project.

These aspects include powerful features for planning, scheduling and charting project management information such as managementplan, project phases, human resource management, project monitoring, resources identification and management, and project implementation.

Course 6: Managing Quality Functions

Explore and understand the basic collection of quality-related activities, regardless of where they are performed, through which the company achieves customer satisfaction and loyalty. These activities include quality assessment, quality culture, leadership, strategy, benchmarking, supply chain, organizational structure, inspection, marketing and customer service, and quality ethics.
