Duty:
1- Forecast requirements, plan and develop annual budget/business plan for the department and finalize with the division head/management.
2- Set performance targets for the department and ensure maximum efforts are exerted for their fulfillment.
3- Define projects’ scope, goals and deliverables Lead and participate in contract review with the concerned departments in respect of acceptable risk and the company’s capabilities to deliver.
4- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Project Managers, set projects expectations, guide and monitor successful handling of the projects, meeting contractual obligations and serving company’s best interests.
5- Conduct project meetings with all the concerned within the company to monitor the progress of projects’ activities. Identify issues and resolve them ensuring fulfillment of obligations safeguarding the best interests of all stakeholders.
6- Review & approve PRF, TOQ, Payment Certificates and project related matters to ensure smooth running of the project.
7- Ensure smooth co-ordination between the client and different departments within the organization on all technical and commercial issues, to satisfy both parties and also examine that all projects are executed to the customer satisfaction within the allocated budget/resources. (To ensure project execution within the Project Execution Plan and contract budget allocation achieving financial discipline and precision in the execution).
8- Review projects’ status with clients and customers from time to time to ensure that the project execution milestones are timely achieved and other project requirements are met within the specified contractual obligations (focusing on total customer satisfaction).
9- Update Management about expected problems and possible solutions for critical activities of the projects to minimize the risks and ensure customer satisfaction from business excellence in all areas of projects management.
10- Strictly and continuously monitor payment status of all projects and ensure full and complete settlement of payments as per payment schedules and contractual obligations. Ensure that all executed projects are closed and financial settlements are achieved within the acceptable period of time.
11- Review with Finance payment settlements and ensure that payments are received as projected.
12- Make sure through project managers that company’s quality system & Safety procedures and practices are unfailingly observed serving the company’s best interests as well as those of the clients, upholding company’s image and reputation.
13- Build, develop and grow long term business relationship with customers and clients from a strategic business point of view.
14- Ensure full payments are settled before a project closeout.
15- Approve and implement actions and processes that optimize operational productivity and target (complying with set operational parameters and cost guidelines) Participate in performance assessment programs and develop performance enhancement measures.
16- Coach, monitor and mentor the projects team; inspire them to attain goals and business excellence; evaluate their performance, identify areas for improvement and ensure training and development programs are offered for supplying deficiencies in skills and enhancing efficiency.
Qualification:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering
PMP / PMI certification (Master certificate in project management preferred)
