Job Description

Geographical coverage: Middle East, Africa, Asia
KEY FUNCTION
Manage and be responsible for legal and compliance issues concerning the Company’s operations in the territory covered.
PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports functionally to: Director - Legal Affairs (Solid line)
Reports operationally to: CEO (Dotted line)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work closely with country management teams and line managers at various levels to achieve Company and Legal Department objectives.

1. General Legal Advice. Provide legal advice and review to the country operations in aspects of the business including, but not limited to:
•Contractual matters;
•Acquisitions and divestitures;
•Enforcement proceedings;
•Liability claims; and
2.Compliance. Develops and monitors legal compliance by entities in the territory with the companies policies and procedures, as well as the laws and regulations of our operating environment. Manage legal risk and legal compliance programs;
3.External Counsel. Manage and optimize use of external counsel. This includes, but is not limited to:
•Providing instructions to counsel on conduct of litigious matters on behalf of the Company;
•Providing reports on status of proceedings and expenditure.

4.Process Improvement. Lead the continuous improvement of legal processes and functions
5.Audits and Investigations. Participate and/or lead audits and investigations as the need arises.
